Here’s what we thought about / listened to when designing our site…we binned 2 other sites to get to where and what we wanted:
Inspiration from the album Marquee Moon by Television where they ‘abandoned contemporary punk rock’s power chords in favour of rock and jazz-inspired interplay, melodic lines, and counter-melodies’.
- Typography
- Less is more
- Choosing creativity over SEO. Ranking #1 isn’t all it’s cracked up to be anymore – we understand that quality and quantity are not the same when it comes to “leads”
- Removing an ‘About’ page and letting the site speak for itself
- Monocle magazine – something for everyone but not for everyone
- Creating all our own illustrations and animations under the influence of Malika Favre, Milton Glaser and Liam Neeson
- David Bowie’s outfit by Freddie Burretti
- Being ourselves / or at least who we want to be
